Abstract

Household electricity consumption has risen as consumers purchase more and larger televisions. That has the California Energy Commission concerned. As a result, the commission plans to force manufacturers to lower the energy consumption of televisions. That has manufacturers concerned that consumers will not pay the extra money required to pay for the energy efficiency.
